August Bank Holiday

Try an alternative to the traditional…

BG summer bedding 2002
The August Bank Holiday, full of peculiar traditions such as barbequing in the rain, ‘dodge the wasp’, or everyone’s favourite, how much longer must we sit in this traffic jam? If you are looking for an alternative to these quaint customs, why not pay us a visit? With temporary exhibitions, family trails and world class collections, our museums offer a far more rewarding experience to bring summer to a close. Just make sure you check the opening hours below before setting out.
