Antipodes at MAA

A new collaboration between the University of Cambridge Museums and the Australian Print Workshop (APW) brings together three of Australia’s most respected contemporary artists Brook Andrew, Tom Nicholson and Caroline Rothwell. Antipodes, a new exhibition at the Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology is the result of this cross-continental collaboration.

Hosted by the Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology, the artists travelled to the United Kingdom to study rarely seen and highly significant collections relating to Australia and the Pacific. Exploring the interplay of natural history, empire, art and anthropology each of the artists spent time in the print studio at APW, working in collaboration with APW Printers to produce reflective bodies of work.

Antipodes runs at the Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology from 22 June – 26 September 2016.

This project was made possible through the generous support of APW’s long-standing philanthropic partner The Collie Print Trust.
